Bo Danysh, Clyde Park’s CSO/Water Operator, reported to the council on water usage and reservoir status and described ongoing coordination on animal control and code enforcement concerning high weeds and dry grasses. Council discussion identified immediate maintenance needs, including asphalt patching, gravel procurement and several equipment repairs.
Council members and staff flagged aging cast-iron water pipes for replacement as a longer-term priority. As a result of the discussion, the council assigned several action items to Danysh: provide a list of old, unused equipment and pipes at the public works yard for council approval to dispose of; explore options for removing an abandoned camper (including contacting the fire department for a training exercise); and ensure tree limbs are trimmed to 14 feet above the right-of-way for fire-truck access.
The minutes do not list cost estimates or a replacement schedule for the cast-iron pipes. Danysh’s assigned follow-ups are intended to give the council the information needed to approve disposal of surplus equipment and to begin evaluating infrastructure repair and replacement needs.
