Select Board schedules public hearing on C-PACE financing for commercial energy upgrades

Charlie Horn of the Energy Committee reviewed materials about Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) and asked whether the Board had questions after members' review. Board members discussed whether to proceed by public hearing or by warrant article; several members noted that a public hearing would allow earlier consideration and focused public education and avoid delaying interested property owners until March.

The Board reached consensus to schedule a C-PACE public hearing, with September 28, 2026 discussed as the date, subject to required notice. Town Administrator Kathleen T. Felch confirmed she had the proposed notice language and listed preparing and posting the required public-hearing notice as a follow-up item.
