The board moved and seconded a motion to convene in closed session to deliberate or negotiate the purchasing of public properties and other bargaining matters. The chair read the statutory justification on the record.
"The RDA may convene in the closed session pursuant to Wisconsin State statute section 19.8 for deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds or conducting other specified business where competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session," the statement on the record said. A roll call followed and the clerk recorded five ayes; the board then recessed into closed session.
Earlier in the meeting members had asked for an open update on city properties and staff provided a public overview before the closed session began; additional details were deferred to closed session.
