The Tunbridge Selectboard reviewed a revised administrative assistant (AA) job description and conducted interviews with two candidates as the board prepares to fill a part-time AA role.
Clerk (speaker 11) said the posting is on the town website and in the local paper; members discussed a suggested range of 10–16 hours per week and a pay range to be posted with the advertisement. "I did run it in The Herald as well," the clerk said.
Two candidates addressed the board. Applicant (speaker 13) described institutional policy and emergency-management experience and said she could support continuity-of-operations tasks: "I'm also doing emergency management," she said. Another candidate (speaker 4) described background in purchasing, billing and local volunteer service and emphasized the importance of job descriptions and continuity material for incoming staff.
Board members agreed to collect contractor estimates for outstanding projects and to finalize job-description edits for reposting; they also discussed interviewing logistics and whether to move to executive session for hiring deliberations. Clerk will update the posting and circulate final edits after Monday's follow-up meeting.
