The Lake County Board of Supervisors, sitting concurrently as the Lake County Watershed Protection District board, approved an amended Clear Lake Watershed and CHI memorandum of understanding co-management agreement that adds the Koi Nation of Northern California and updates signature lines. The board authorized the chair to sign the document as amended; the measure passed by voice vote 3–1 in both the county and district rollings.
Terry Logsdon, the county's Chief Climate Resiliency Officer and Tribal Liaison, told the board the document had gone through several iterations led by Deputy Secretary of Tribal Affairs Geneva E. B. Thompson (CNRA) and that the version presented included ministerial fixes ahead of an official signing ceremony. The staff review updated agency titles, standardized area-code formatting, removed inconsistent uses of the word "informal" in favor of "annual work plan," and added the Koi Nation as a participating government. "The primary point of contact for the agreement for the County Of Lake is the County Administrative Officer Susan Parker and the point of contact for the Lake County Watershed Protection District is the director, Pawan Yapatier," Logsdon said.
Supervisor Spatie moved to approve the amended agreement and to authorize the chair to sign on behalf of the county and the Watershed Protection District. The motion was seconded (the transcript does not identify who seconded) and carried on a voice vote of three in favor and one opposed in both the Board of Supervisors and Watershed Protection District actions. The chair closed the item after the second vote.
