Council tables amendment to residential waste/recycling contract with Econowaste

Council heard that negotiations over an amendment to the residential waste-and-recycling contract with Econowaste remain active and that legal counsel is still reviewing terms. A motion to table the amendment passed; staff will continue negotiations and return the item to council when the proposed agreement and legal review are complete.

The council took no substantive action on the contract terms at the meeting, instead choosing to preserve staff latitude while legal counsel completes the review.
