Committee authorizes acquisition of former Girl Scouts building at 2710 Quarry Road

The Finance & Personnel Committee moved to terminate the lease and authorize acquisition of the building at 2710 Quarry Road, previously used by the Girl Scouts Badgerland Council. Mister Tuzoni explained that if the committee approved the action the building would become city property and staff would return to declare it surplus and pursue an RFP process to sell or potentially lease the property.

The committee voted in favor of the acquisition unanimously after Mr. Tuzoni described the next steps: the city would take ownership, consider declaring the property surplus in a subsequent meeting, and could either sell or lease the building following appropriate procurement steps. Council members offered no substantive opposition during the discussion.
