The Bozrah Board of Selectmen voted unanimously during a special meeting on Sept. 3 to set a Town Meeting for Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Fields Memorial School to consider two agenda items: acceptance of a $600,000 development/reimbursement grant and approval of a renewed three‑year services contract with the Bozrah Volunteer Fire Company, Inc.
Selectman William E. Ballinger moved the motion; Selectman Jeremy Tarasevich seconded. The minutes record the action as: "MOTION: Ballinger/SECOND: Tarasevich to set date of Wednesday September 16 at 7PM at FMS PASSED-UNANIMOUS." First Selectman Glenn S. Pianka signed the meeting minutes.
The town warning published Sept. 3 lists the two items that will appear on the Town Meeting agenda: (1) a renewed three‑year services contract covering July 1, 2026–June 30, 2029 between the Town and the Bozrah Volunteer Fire Company, Inc., and (2) acceptance of a $600,000 grant from Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC) in partnership with the State Office of Early Education to fund required building and site modifications at 194 Fitchville Road (the "Fitchville Annex") to operate a child day care center. The warning notes the grant is a reimbursement grant and will not require a town match.
The board accepted an attachment to the Town Meeting warning and added language calling out the availability of copies of the proposed fire department contract on the Town website and at the Town Clerk's Office. The special meeting adjourned at 9:03 a.m.
