Keystone Montessori winding down; EDC sees redevelopment opportunity

Staff told the commission that Keystone Montessori is winding down operations and was not taking August enrollment; the school expects to market the building for sale. Commissioners said the site could be an asset for mixed-use redevelopment or other taxable uses that support corridor activation.

Members suggested early outreach to brokers and to the firms that previously prepared corridor analyses so the village can highlight the parcel to potential buyers. Staff agreed to notify JLL and local brokers and to keep the commission apprised of any listing activity or offers.
