The Belgrade Regional Parks, Trails and Recreation District board voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 20-6-22, levying a special assessment and approving the final fiscal year 2027 budget.
Board member Alex Cady moved to approve the resolution and Director Jamie Rosemary seconded; the Chair called the vote and every board member present voted in favor. The roll-call sequence in the record names Jamie Rosemary, Emily Decker, Clint Stedman, Renee Matamo, Diana Perry, Joseph Bernhardt and Alex Cady as voting.
Jordan, the parks staff presenter, told the board the final revenue estimate for the district rose to approximately $1,890,000, an increase from last year's $1,771,000. "You can see that that's $1,890,000," Jordan said while reviewing the revenue page and explained the rise came from newly taxable property captured after the preliminary budget was set.
Jordan also flagged a $250,000 placeholder in operating expenses for potential debt service connected to large-scale park improvements or a possible land purchase; any formal debt issuance would return to the board and require city and county approvals.
The board adopted the resolution after a public hearing and a short period for public comment. The resolution took immediate effect as recorded in the meeting minutes.
