Jordan gave monthly reports across recreation, forestry and events. He said the For the Future Sports contract ended in mid-August and that the contractor will provide a report on participation and revenue as required under the contract. Jordan also noted the farmers market season is nearing conclusion and that he will debrief with the senior center director about events and lessons learned.
In forestry work, Jordan reported the city's forester has inventoried roughly 1,800 trees and that the staff will move to a heavier pruning schedule in the fall, including targeted pruning in Ryan Glen and newer subdivisions. Jordan said the tree guide is essentially complete pending final comments and that staff will distribute it to developers and publish it on the city website when finalized.
Board members offered brief community updates (youth sports travel, a fall festival and the upcoming high-school football schedule) and thanked staff for recent work; the board then moved to adjourn.
