Staff updated the commission on several procedural and project items, saying the office will change its practice to require applicants to resolve outstanding staff comments before a project is placed on the Planning and Zoning agenda.
"We're addressing all outstanding comments before it even gets to you," Stephanie said, describing a deliberate shift away from sending unresolved comments in the packet as conditions of approval. She said the change aims to avoid approving plans that later prove incomplete when applicants move to permitting.
Stephanie also said staff is reviewing several applications slotted for October return, including a resubmitted CIK application and an SUP for Flytrex, a drone-delivery operation: "it's called Flytrex, which is a drone delivery operation." She warned the commission that some items may generate large public turnouts, noting a past hearing that drew "like 50 or 60 speakers."
