Supervisors approve proclamations, hear investment policy update and purchasing report

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors at its Sept. 2 meeting approved a proclamation commemorating the Rotary Club of Casa Grande's 100th anniversary and approved a separate proclamation designating September 2026 as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.

Dana Lewis presented a donation of fully engraved stainless-steel replicas of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Civil Rights Amendments from the Charters of Freedom America 250 Project. Craig Sullivan, with County Manager Leo Lew, presented the County Supervisors Association of Arizona report as information only. Treasurer Michael McCord provided the 2026 update to the Treasurer's Investment Policy, and Traci Gorman and Angeline Woods presented the Purchasing Division Report, which the Board approved and authorized the Chairman to execute necessary documents. These items were recorded as either information-only presentations or approved by the Board as noted on the agenda.
