Danny, presenting for the county IT department, told the board the team had completed a website integration that improves permit self-service for contractors and residents. He said the county removed a legacy site and improved search responsiveness, and he described multiple security upgrades to reduce risk across public-facing systems.
“We did introduce a new failover Internet connection for this building,” Danny said, adding that the backup service is cost‑effective and designed to keep county services online if the primary link fails. He also described new badge‑reader access in the Crestone Building and a centralized patch-management rollout the department is piloting to keep systems current. On finances, Danny presented year‑to‑date account snapshots and said the computer services and software accounts are roughly on trend for the fiscal year, with capital spending paused where possible to preserve flexibility.
