City staff previewed Splatter 2026, a full-day family festival scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12 at Emerald Glen Park, and answered council questions about programming.
Shelby Perry, Recreation Coordinator for Parks and Community Services, said the festival will open in the morning with a Color Dash fun run (about 1.2 miles with five color stations and start times at 9:00 and 9:30 a.m.), followed by a festival from noon to 8:30 p.m. "This year's event will be on Saturday, September 12 at Emerald Glen Park... we have some exciting new additions and enhancements to share," Perry said. The festival will include three stages (a main stage for headliners, an amphitheater for multicultural performances and a side-yard stage for local artists), over 25 food vendors, an arts-and-crafts market, carnival activities, a student art gallery presented by the Dublin Arts Collective, and a Prisma Lounge VIP experience with food stations and a private viewing area.
Perry confirmed there will be no drone show this year and described operational elements for the Color Dash finish area, photo booths and volunteer stations. Staff said they will coordinate final logistics and return with any permit or traffic impacts as needed.
