Commissioners heard from county public works staff about recent maintenance on Poston Road and about remaining obstacles to paving the corridor.
Public works staff said crews have applied asphalt milling and trimmed shoulders but that the road remains narrow and slanted, complicating paving without acquiring additional right-of-way. Staff relayed that a nearby landowner told the county he had granted only an access easement for residents and would seek compensation if the county required more right-of-way to complete paving. "We've refreshed that road up with milling, asphalt milling," the public works representative said, explaining follow-up concerns about paving feasibility. Commissioners directed staff to bring department heads and legal counsel to the next meeting and to add Woodbury Road to the agenda with detailed documentation and any deed or easement records available for review.
