Select board tables planning-board appointment for review

The select board received an application from William Kent Carpenter of Water Street for an alternate seat on the planning board and voted to table the appointment to the next meeting to allow for additional review.

Staff said Carpenter's application and contact information were provided to the board and recommended tabling pending the required public-comment period or additional review. "I make a motion that we table William Kent Carpenter's application to the planning board as alternate to the next meeting," a board member said. The motion was seconded and approved 5-0. The item will return on the next agenda for formal action.
