Retired Lake Wales firefighter seeks reappointment to police and fire pension board

Roy Wilkinson introduced himself to the commission as a Lake Wales resident and a retired Lake Wales firefighter who has served on the pension board since 2008 and is a certified public pension trustee. He said he enjoys continued service to the city and would like another term on the police and fire pension board.

Wilkinson said the pension board meets quarterly and the plan managers provide adequate communications between meetings; he added a special meeting can be called if necessary. Commissioners asked no further questions during the work session and staff said remaining applicants will appear next Wednesday.
