Zoning board welcomes new member James Kolaski

Board members introduced and welcomed a new member, James Kolaski, at the Sept. 1 meeting. The chair read the attendance list and explicitly welcomed Kolaski before moving on to business; the chair also noted two regular members were absent that evening.

The chair said the board has experienced turnover over the past year and now counts seven total seats (five district seats and two alternates). Because some long-serving members were absent and to ensure broader participation in selecting leadership, the board moved to postpone elections until October. The appointment or retention of some members will be handled through the town council as needed.
