Votes at a glance: Board approves two lakefront home requests with tree‑mitigation conditions

At the meeting the Lakefront Review Board recorded motions and roll-call votes recommending approval of two lakefront items.

Lakefront 26-15 (633 Balmoral Road) was moved and seconded for approval subject to staff conditions that include urban-forestry-approved mitigation for three specimen trees and preservation of two larger specimen trees; the board’s recorded roll call returned affirmative votes. Via Veneto Lot 2 (1294 Howell Branch Road) was also approved on a recorded roll-call vote with carryover subdivision conditions requiring a tree buffer during construction and planting a 5-diameter oak per mitigation code. No members of the public registered to comment on either item.

Both items will be forwarded as recommendations consistent with the board’s role under City Code §58-87; the city commission was noted to consider related public hearing items on Wednesday, 09/23/2026.
