Ms. Campbell recommended a menu of outreach tools to collect resident input about tradeoffs if revenue declines materialize: surveys, focus groups, small roundtables, and gamified budget exercises that let participants allocate hypothetical dollars. "It could be surveys. It could be community focus groups. You can gamify budgetary decisions," she said, describing several options for the commission to consider after the election.
A commissioner noted the Friends of the Library invited staff to participate in a panel to inform the public about Amendment 3 and asked whether Ms. Campbell could attend; Ms. Campbell said she was available for several proposed times and would coordinate with the library’s point of contact. Commissioners emphasized the need to solicit extensive resident feedback before making hard service‑level decisions. The city will post the presentation on its website and follow up on outreach scheduling.
