Commissioners award $502,493 contract to Progressive Structures for Portland office build-out

The Commissioners Court approved awarding IFB 2026-002 for the Portland offices build-out to Progressive Structures with a total contract amount of $502,493.15 (lump-sum base bid $477,389.15 plus additive alternative $25,104), after the county project representative presented the recommendation.

The project representative explained the recommendation and said the build-out represents a temporary solution while commissioners continue to consider permanent office locations. Commissioner Yardley noted the project "has been a long time in the works" and thanked staff for moving it forward after more than two years of planning.

"This is the recommendation of award for the Portland offices build out, and they suggested, Progressive Structures," the project representative said during the presentation. The court voted unanimously to accept the award and authorized staff to finalize procurement steps and contracts.
