At the Aug. 31 meeting the clerk presented a slate of procurement and contract resolutions and, following committee recommendations, several items were placed on the consent agenda and adopted without separate debate.
Chair announced placement of resolutions on the consent agenda: "Without objection, resolution 22,377 will be placed on the consent agenda," and the body subsequently adopted the consent agenda by roll call (seven yes, two excused). Items added to the consent agenda included a $311,696 vehicle purchase for the sheriff's office, a $57,739 order for 10 portable handheld APX radios, a $38,096 sole-source contract for CoStar real estate data, and an $87,658 transfer and radio purchase for E911 systems, among others.
The transcript indicates committee recommendations for adoption for most procurement items; the clerk read the amounts and contract vendors into the record. Because these were adopted on consent, the legislature did not take extended debate in the public session but recorded formal adoption in the minutes.
