An applicant introduced as Leviticus Johnson appeared before the Philmont Planning Board seeking permission to operate a barber shop at 110 Main Street.
The applicant said he currently plans to operate one station but listed up to four on his application so he can add stations in the future. He told the board he holds an owner license and a cutting license: “I've been a barber since 2024,” he said. Board members advised him to draw any additional stations on the plan now so he would not have to reapply and pay fees for minor later expansions.
The board accepted the application and instructed the applicant to submit a revised drawing that adds the extra stations (if desired) before the hearing. Staff said that if the applicant shows the planned stations on the drawing and stays within those dimensions he would avoid paying another application fee; otherwise, a return application would be required.
