During the Parent 101 session, the presenter gave families concrete examples of what they might see when Title III immigrant funds are used on a campus. He listed six areas of support, including campus orientation to U.S. schools, basic routines and navigation, tutoring and mentoring, additional instructional help, counseling/career guidance and family literacy/outreach events.
The presenter described classroom-adjacent supports as well: “मवाद और technology, किताबें सीखने का मवाद और software जो नए तलवा को सीखने में मदद के लिए चुने जाते हैं,” and he encouraged families to participate in welcome nights and family learning events. The presentation noted translation and campus-level information sharing where possible and encouraged parents to keep contact information current and use the parent portal for updates.
Staff said these services are intended to help students feel welcomed and succeed in school; families were urged to ask campus staff about available programs and to complete district surveys so CCISD can tailor supports.
