The Torrey Planning & Zoning Commission voted to authorize an enforcement letter to the owner of 306 West Main Street after staff reported that two RVs are parked on the parcel and that work appeared to have been done without permits.
Torrey’s attorney advised the commission that, under local definitions, an RV pad constitutes a structure that requires proper permits for septic, water and general construction. The attorney recommended sending a letter that gives the owner time to present any existing permits or to file required permits, and that requires cessation of all use of the RV sites until those permits are officially approved. Chair Bill Barrett moved to approve sending that letter; Jack Kelly seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The commission directed planning staff to draft and send the enforcement letter and requested a report back when the owner responds. The motion recorded no dissent. No fine amounts, deadlines for a response, or appeal procedures were specified during the meeting; staff follow-up is planned.
