Members planned participation at a local arts-and-crafts event to raise awareness of commission services and collect community feedback.
Commissioners agreed to staff a tented table and to stagger shifts so the booth is covered both weekend days. "So Saturday, it is 9 to 4, and then Sunday is 10 to 4," a member said while confirming volunteer coverage and logistics. The group discussed tent stakes and weights, signage (a banner or repurposed campaign signs), printed instruction sheets, care-registration and 911-indicator forms and the importance of linking a flyer QR code to the commission page so contact information can remain current.
Volunteers volunteered to bring flyers, forms and a banner; one member offered to print a banner through a local retailer. They also discussed having an on-site suggestion box where residents could note accessibility concerns to feed the commission's grant-ready documentation.
