The Draper City Planning Commission on Aug. 27 approved a plat amendment for Camden Park Subdivision Phase 1 that shifts a lot line between two lots and renumbers them. Staff said the amendment moves the line north roughly seven feet, increases one lot to 13,943 square feet and reduces the other to 13,332 square feet.
"The proposed amendment would increase the lot size of Lot 120 to 13,943 square feet and Lot 121 would decrease to 13,332 square feet," said Nick Whitaker, the city's staff contact, describing the change and noting staff's recommendation for approval. Whitaker said the public utility easements would be reduced from 10 feet to the code-required 7 feet and that the amendment conforms to the R3 zone's lot-size and setback rules. He also said affidavits were provided showing both property owners agree to the change.
Commissioner Gary moved to approve the plat amendment "based on the following findings for approval and subject to the requirements as listed in the staff report dated August 17." Commissioner Lisa seconded the motion, and recorded votes were unanimous in favor. The commission recorded yes votes from Gary, Susan, Lisa and Kendra, and the motion carried.
The city will update the subdivision plat and file the amended documents as required; staff cited compliance with code and no vacating of public streets or municipal easements as part of the approval.
