The joint board voted to appoint Roberts & Green as the SAU auditor for a three-year term. The finance presenter also requested authority to sign and implement treasury-management fraud-prevention services; she described the ACH positive-pay offering that would allow the business office to whitelist vendors and receive alerts for atypical payments.
Heather Sherwood explained the fraud-prevention tool: "They have an ACH positive pay service where I can go through and white list vendors and say that they're okay to pay, give them an average amount. If they exceed that amount, I get an alert, and I can manually approve that." The board authorized staff to enroll accounts and to sign required application materials, with the understanding the check positive-pay option will be considered later as staffing and operational readiness allow.
