Staff: voucher wait list closed until additional funding arrives

Miss Brown (S8) presented the Section A report on vouchers and federal funding, telling the council that because of limited funding the voucher wait list is closed and the office is not issuing new vouchers at this time. Brown said partial federal funding was received (issued around late May/June) to cover current participants through December; the city will move down the existing, first-come list when additional funding arrives.

"We are not issuing any vouchers at this time. We don't have the funding for that. So there is a relatively long wait list. That wait list has been closed so that it does not get any longer," staff member S8 said. Council moved to accept the report.
