Ware COA welcomes new activities coordinator Michael Sweeney

The Ware Council on Aging welcomed its incoming activities coordinator, Michael Sweeney, who is scheduled to begin at the Senior Center in about two weeks. According to the meeting record, his duties will include bringing new activities, organizing trips, recruiting volunteers and "finding out what changes seniors would like to have at the center."

The minutes further note that Sweeney is working on a Facebook page for the center and may attend the September meeting to provide input on the guest handbook. The COA framed the hire as a step to expand programming and volunteer engagement at the Ware Senior Center.
