The Chamblee Public Arts Commission on Aug. 27 voted to table approval of the July 2026 regular meeting minutes so specific edits could be incorporated into the official record.
Chair Shan opened discussion about corrections to the minutes and noted the motion-maker and seconder were recorded incorrectly in the draft. Commissioner Elmer moved to table consideration of the minutes until the commission's September meeting; the motion was seconded and passed after a voice vote. "If no one objects to those edits, that's the only thing that I saw," Shan said when asking the body how to proceed. The meeting packet and minutes will be updated and circulated prior to the next meeting.
The commission did not record a roll-call vote or individual tallies during the motion; the body treated the tabling as a procedural step to allow staff to insert the corrected names and any requested text into the minutes before formal approval.
