Presenter urges activation of specialized judicial units and investigations into mass crimes

Speaking to the Security Council, the presenter said breaking the cycle of impunity is "equally important" and that perpetrators and those who finance and enable gang violence must be held to account.

"The effective activation of the specialized judicial units mandate to investigate mass crime, violence, financial crimes, including the prompt opening of investigations into the Keshav attack will be paramount to strengthen the rule of law and restore public confidence in state institutions," the presenter said, calling for prompt investigative steps and judicial follow‑through.
