This afternoon New Rochelle Mayor Yadira Ramos Herbert and the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce joined business leaders, county representatives and residents to celebrate the grand opening of The End Tavern, a new bar owned by Gianni Laparazzi. Catherine White, executive director of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, opened the event and said the venue will add to the city's entertainment options and host a larger weekend celebration.
"It's gonna provide hours and hours of entertainment for people who come down to hang out with the owner Gianni and to meet new friends and just relax," Catherine White said. Mayor Yadira Ramos Herbert praised Laparazzi's entrepreneurial spirit and offered the city's support, noting the challenge of running multiple businesses and promising assistance "whatever we can do to help ensure you're successful." Martha Lopez, identified as director of MWBE for Westchester County and a New Rochelle city council representative, said the county stands ready to help and relayed greetings from the county executive.
Owner Gianni Laparazzi thanked attendees and described The End Tavern as "a place where everybody can come, kick back, have a drink, relax, meet new friends, and strike up great conversation." Carol Barela, representing the Chamber, presented congratulations and encouragement as Laparazzi begins operating a second local business. The program ended with a ceremonial ribbon cutting; organizers said a larger weekend celebration will follow.
