The Woodbridge Township Board of Education met Aug. 27, 2026, and moved to adopt the superintendent's recommendations and numerous committee items across curriculum, finance, facilities and personnel. The meeting opened with the board secretary reading the required public-notice statement under the New Jersey open public meetings law and concluded with the board adjourning after routine votes.
The board announced it would enter closed session to discuss personnel matters, privacy interests and a student matter and to receive external client advice; a motion to enter closed session was made and carried. The body later reconvened for public business, approved the minutes of the previous meeting and adopted the superintendent's four recommendations on a roll-call vote. The chair opened the public-comment period but no members of the public spoke.
"The New Jersey open public meetings law was enacted to ensure the right of the public to have advanced notice of and to attend the meetings of public bodies," the secretary read at the start of the meeting. The session included the Pledge of Allegiance and remarks congratulating staff on recent school renovations.
