CVTA staff presented a FY27 local allocations plan and an expanded regional project quarterly report that lists roughly 77 regional commitments and their status. The materials include a ‘spend-down’ schedule and a reminder that annual certifications are due by Sept. 15.
Daniel Wagner of the City of Richmond, speaking for the Technical Advisory Committee, said one of the main priorities will be a comprehensive review of the regional funding framework this fall, with more detailed updates expected next spring. “One of the main priorities that we'll be taking on over the next year is, as TAC is reviewing our regional funding framework...we'll do a comprehensive review through the fall, likely concluding around November,” Wagner said. Staff said the regional spreadsheet will continue to be refined by the tech committee and could identify projects suitable for short-term reinvestment if commitments slow.
Staff emphasized the allocations snapshot is preliminary and intended to inform local planning for FY27; the tech committee will follow up with additional adjustments and outreach to localities.
