Town approves Veterans Memorial Park purchases: grills, water fountain, plumber and mower

During the meeting the board reviewed three procurement request forms from the Veterans Memorial Park Board and approved four related purchases and contracts.

A board member described the needs: two new grills (Pilot Rock Shelter House) from Northern Tool & Equipment, not to exceed $1,634.97; a Global Industries water cooler and bottle filler not to exceed $2,443.99 and a plumber (low bidder Steve Adams) to install it at up to $3,500; and a 72-inch mower from S S R Equipment in Danbury not to exceed $15,443. Each motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.

Board discussion noted the park's existing grills and mower were at or beyond expected service life and that the water-fountain installation had been requested for several years; the board approved the procurement requests and authorized staff to process the purchases.
