Commission approves consent calendar and hears staff updates; set next meetings

The Planning Commission approved the consent calendar early in the meeting. Commissioners then received a series of staff updates: recent Board approvals on the 2026 administrative zoning ordinance updates and digital sign amendments, upcoming design standards outreach in other community regions (Cameron Park, Somerset and South County), and a Board resolution of intent to extend the Caldor fire resiliency ordinance; staff said the extension ordinance will return to the commission for review prior to Board adoption.

Chair Fraga closed the meeting after brief commissioner reports and staff reminders about upcoming hearing dates. The next scheduled Planning Commission meeting was noted as Sept. 10 with a primary item on Caldor fire ordinance extension.
