The Keller Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda at a regular meeting on Aug. 27, 2026, at The Education Center in Keller. The board initially removed two items from the consent package — Item 8C (purchases exceeding $25,000) and Item 8H (an affiliation agreement with Texas Tech University) — for separate consideration before approving the remainder of the consent agenda.
“Ms. Kelly asked that Item 8H be moved to Action. Mr. Coker asked that Item 8C be moved to Action,” the minutes record. Following that motion to approve the consent items with those exceptions, the board’s vote carried 5-0. The published consent agenda included routine matters such as approval of minutes, budget amendments, a revenue and expenditure summary, approval to accept a $25,000 donation from Atmos, adjunct faculty approvals tied to the Tarrant County 4‑H Youth Development Program, and an MOU for Communities in Schools.
Later in the meeting, the two pulled items were returned to the board for separate votes. The board approved Purchases Exceeding $25,000 as presented and approved the Affiliation Agreement with Texas Tech University for student clinical training in the Orientation and Mobility (O&M) program; both motions carried 5-0. The minutes do not record additional debate or the names of vendors for the purchases exceeding $25,000.
The board’s action keeps standard procurement and program partnerships on track for the start of the 2026–27 school year. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Sept. 24, 2026.
