Staff reported operational progress on the board's new suggestion portal and described next steps to automate savings verification and outreach.
Monica Garvajal, the board's policy specialist, told members "The suggestion portal is live. It is working. It's been operational for about 4 months now. In that time, we successfully received 20 and applications through it." She said IT support has helped resolve issues and that only eight old suggestions remain to migrate from the previous system. Garvajal also said evaluators and the portal will now assign separate evaluation numbers so multi-agency reviews can be processed without waiting for all responses to complete.
Staff highlighted forthcoming automations that will prompt suggesters to confirm realized savings after a set period and said the board will track savings automatically through the portal. Garvajal asked members to save Sept. 24 for the board's next "coffee chat," which will feature an agency guest and highlight an implemented suggestion.
Board members applauded the outreach work and the roadshow efforts to meet agencies in person as staff scale training sessions for coordinators and board members.
