Commissioners call for RFQ for engineering, planning and grant-writing services

Commissioners voted to advertise an RFQ for engineering, planning, grant-writing and administrative services and instructed staff to publish the solicitation in the local paper and solicit local engineering firms. A commissioner said the procurement is required by law to be done every five years.

The motion was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote. The board did not specify budget amounts or named firms during the meeting; staff were directed to begin advertising the solicitation.
