The Pinal County Board of Supervisors approved a broad consent agenda Aug. 26 that included dozens of agreements and grant acceptances across departments.
Notable approvals included Award Agreement Amendment No. 1 to Agreement 523‑26 (FY26 Continuum of Care Planning and Housing Trust Fund Capacity Building Grant) to align end dates to the federal fiscal year and related budget transfers; acceptance of a $4,326,670 FY27 State Aid Enhancement Grant for Adult Probation to fund officers assigned to that program; and multiple Juvenile Court Services awards and program grants. The Board approved several Sheriff’s Office grants including a $40,000 DUI Abatement Grant, a $110,501 HIDTA narcotics task force award and an $18,000 HIDTA AZ WANTED award to support targeted enforcement.
The Board also approved numerous New Hope Program agreements between Pinal County Animal Care and Control and a long list of nonprofit rescue organizations; the agreements were set to expire Jan. 1, 2029. The Board authorized grant applications and award acceptances across departments, many requiring no general fund impact or noting funding already included in the FY26/27 budget.
