Commission seeks Wright-Patterson guest speaker as Veterans Day plans solidify

The commission reviewed the Veterans Day event timeline and emphasized the need to lock in speakers and participating units as the fall calendar approaches. A request has been sent to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base seeking the wing commander as the guest speaker; members agreed to wait for a response while preparing backup options.

Commissioners also discussed coordination with Wayne High School ROTC and the Young Marines and agreed to confirm participation via email and direct outreach. The Chair noted the commission will distribute last year’s itinerary to members and asked staff to circulate materials so the communications office can publish details once guest confirmations arrive.
