During public hearings the board approved two separate vacation requests and approved a routine engineering item after staff confirmed Department of Transportation comments had been addressed.
Applicant Mark Snyder asked the board to vacate an alley between two parcels he owns to provide access to rear property. “I'm the property owner. I'm just requesting, there's an alley between 2 parcels that we own,” Snyder said. A commissioner indicated no objection, a motion to approve was made and the chair confirmed the vacation was approved.
A second vacation request from Manning Realty Partnership LLC for right-of-way near 8950 Distribution Avenue was also presented; a commissioner noted it involved commercial development, expressed no objection and moved to approve without objection. The board then returned to regular business and the chair confirmed the consent agenda passed.
On the regular agenda, staff said Department of Transportation comments on a grant project had been addressed. Staff member Jared told commissioners DOT’s concerns were addressed and recommended approval: “if you'll approve it, there's no additional action that needs to be taken.” The board approved that engineering item without opposition.
The meeting adjourned after the board reviewed upcoming meeting dates.
