Planning staff reports housing pipeline: Harrison Plaza Phase 2 complete, Winchester Commons pre-construction underway

Planning staff presented the quarterly development pipeline report. The major change this quarter was completion of Harrison Plaza Phase 2, adding 78 residential units to Winchester's housing stock; other projects (Abrams Crossing Lot 5, Melodon cottages, and several townhome phases) are in final site-work stages.

Staff said permits and pre-construction activity suggest Winchester Commons PUD on Lake Boulevard will move into visible site work soon after a recent pre-construction meeting; no firm completion dates were announced. Committee members asked about the status of Hampton Manor Nursing and other slower-moving commercial projects; staff said activity had increased on some sites and they hoped progress would accelerate.
