Ann Marie Cooper, introduced as the new CEO of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, outlined the Chamber's recent cultural partnerships and listed major upcoming events to the City Commission on Aug. 26.
Cooper highlighted a Chamber arts partnership that yielded a series of videos and a new docuseries, 'Generations in the Workplace.' She said the chamber-produced videos have drawn tens of thousands of views and will remain online as an "evergreen" resource. "It's our mission to convene people and ideas to benefit our community," Cooper said.
She also flagged the Chamber's Fall calendar: Winter Park Outlook will be held Sept. 18 and focus on property tax reform; the Best of Winter Park competitions and Autumn Art Festival will follow in September and November; and Winter on the Avenue, a city partnership featuring a tree lighting and holiday events, is scheduled for Dec. 4. Cooper thanked city staff and said the Chamber looks forward to continued collaboration on economic and cultural initiatives.
City commissioners acknowledged the presentation and thanked Cooper for the update; no formal action was required.
