Staff outlines rule revisions, joint work session and Sept. 16 Riverview tour

Staff informed the board that revised rules and regulations — chiefly terminology updates tied to a department name change and notice procedures — will be taken to the Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Zoning Adjustment and then City Council for adoption. A staff member asked whether board members had comments on the revisions and said that absent comments the documents will proceed.

Staff also reminded the board of a joint work session scheduled for Sept. 1 (dinner at 5:30 p.m., work session at 6 p.m.) and announced a site tour on Sept. 16 meeting at City Hall focused on Riverview Village, Oscar's and Donato's repair sites. Staff asked members to notify the office if they cannot attend because seating is limited.

No substantive debate occurred on the rule revisions during the meeting; staff will advance the documents unless the board submits comments in writing before transmittal to City Council.
