Cumby ISD names representatives to testify on Blarney Solar Project at county commissioners court

The Cumby Collegiate ISD Board approved a motion to designate Marsha Krotky, John Hood and Kenny Campbell as district representatives to attend the Hopkins County Commissioners Court meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 9:00 a.m. regarding the proposed Blarney Solar Project. Amanda Horne made the motion, which John Hood seconded; the motion passed 5–0 with two absences.

The board did not record the specific statements the representatives are expected to deliver; the action authorizes their attendance at the county-level public meeting. The district will rely on information gathered from county proceedings and any Live Oak Financial guidance discussed earlier in the meeting to inform further board decisions about the project.

The county meeting is scheduled for Jan. 13 at 9:00 a.m., where the project is expected to be discussed in a public forum.
