Committee finalizes plan for Dec. 9 Hillsdale holiday party at firehouse

Committee members approved details for the Safe at Home holiday party scheduled for Dec. 9, 10–11:30 a.m. at the Hillsdale Firehouse. "The invite with a firetruck was chosen to emphasize that the holiday party will take place at the firehouse," the minutes record; members asked that more color be added to the invitation and agreed invitations will be sent to town board members and newly elected officials.

Patti Rohrlich outlined party programming and gifts: "There will be a free raffle for three special gifts, Cook and Larder basket, large decorative wreath and a painting." Patti counted 20 gifts on hand and encouraged members to bring two additional modest wrapped gifts. Members were asked to arrive around 9:00 a.m. for set up; the firehouse will supply cups, flatware and plates and provide music through its speaker system.
