Safe at Home Committee lines up speakers on falls, sleep, history and gardening through June

The Safe at Home Committee established a speaker schedule for January through June 2026, assigning point people and noting equipment needs. For January, "Wendy Garfield will talk about how to protect oneself from falling as we get older," with Joyce Lapenn as the point person; for February, Thad Hershberger will speak on the importance of sleep and will need a projector (Lynn point person).

For March, Mary Lou may ask Brenda Shufelt to present on the history of the whaling industry in Hudson after a proposed chair-yoga presenter became unavailable; April's speaker will be Linda Leavitt on gardening, and May — Older Americans Month — may feature Dr. Green, author on aging. Patti suggested a musician for June. The committee set responsibilities for outreach and follow-up to secure the listed presenters.
